Household Culinary Retainer — Washington, DC | 2026

A recurring chef service designed around one household’s lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
James came to HFP looking for a better way to eat at home without sacrificing the bold, satisfying food he enjoys. Rather than following a rigid meal-prep program, we built an ongoing culinary service around his tastes, schedule, and evolving preferences.
The retainer provides one chef service day each week, with meals prepared, portioned, packaged, and ready to enjoy throughout the week.

Cooking · Portioning · Packaging · CleanupThe culinary household retainer brings the structure of meal preparation together with the flexibility and attention of a private chef. James doesn't have to plan what to eat, shop for ingredients, spend his week cooking, or rely on takeout. The meals are simply there when he's ready for them.
-
The first service established the foundation for an ongoing culinary relationship: flavorful, satisfying meals prepared around James's preferences and designed to make eating well at home easier.

More Than Meal Prep
A culinary retainer isn't simply a larger meal-prep order. It's an ongoing relationship between chef and household.
As the weeks progress, the service becomes more personal: learning what the client reaches for first, which flavors keep them excited about eating at home, what portions work best, and what should make its way back onto the menu.
The goal is simple — make having a chef part of the rhythm of everyday life.
